140 Broadway is an architecturally significant building designed by Skidmore Owings Merrill, and it was completed in 1967. The trapezoidal shape of the building tapers to the side facing Broadway. The building was one of the first of its kind to employ the use of a homogenous curtain wall. 140 Broadway is a carefuly planned environment that encourages efficency.
